I’m thrilled to be hosting tomorrow’s Twitter Chat with WEGO health! I’ll be tweeting about a topic that is important to me and I know is important to you: The Dynamics of Today’s Healthcare visit.
As a physician and a patient with a chronic condition (I have rheumatoid arthritis so I have my fair share of doctor’s appointments and everything that comes with the healthcare system), I’ve experienced just about all the good and bad of our healthcare system. I’ve always felt that a person’s relationship with the doctor is what makes or breaks the experience, whether a visit is short or long, or the situation is simple or complex. Additionally, it’s no secret that healthcare has been changing – I feel it on both sides of the stethoscope so I have no doubt you do, too, when you visit your doctors, or take a loved one in for care. So, let’s talk about that, too. There’s a lot we can do as patients to make the most of a system that doesn’t always want to give us the care we need.
The chat will be tomorrow, Tuesday March 29, at 3pm EST. Some of the topics I’ll be covering include:
- What a typical visit is like for you.
- How you feel about today’s doctor’s office
- Where social media does (and could) fit in
- Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
- How to improve visits and prepare for both adult & child visits
- …and more!
I’m really excited to have this conversation with you and share my 2cent on this topic. Be sure to follow me on Twitter @DrGwenn and join the chat tomorrow 3pm EST #HAchat.
