A survey out earlier this week from the National Cybersecurity Alliance and McAfee showed that 1 in 5 Americans reports being the victime of a cybercrime – things like identity theft, bullying, data hacking.
So, what can you do to protect yourself and your family from this happening to you?
First, you can embody this month’s cybersecurity month theme: Stop – Think – Connect. This is really crucial to avoiding digital mishaps with other people and companies.
Second, we all have to be more mindful of our digital footprints. The better we are in reducing our online lives, and controlling our privacy, the less likely people can find us and our data.
