Infant Feeding Guides

Feeding a baby can be one of the most rewarding and fun experiences of parenting – albeit a bit messy!  My18 month old nephew, for example, loves to wear his yogurt more than eat it but that’s the point…making a mess with food is how small children learn to eat. I've often wondered if that was one of the driving forces behind the addition of hand sprays in kitchen sinks.

The choices of baby food on the market are endless. And, to be honest, not one is "best". Just like with grown-up food, cost and taste will drive what you purchase. There are also organic and vegan choices. So, there is really something out there to suit everyone's different beliefs and perferences.

That said, there are some guidelines for introducing baby foods to your infant that you can follow regardless of the brand you use, or whether you decide to make your own baby food. Here’s a list of my favorite tools, tips and information from the major baby food brand web sites. The inclusion of material is purely educational and not an endorsement of one brand over the other.
