Dr. Gwenn’s Updated Family Media Use Plan

Our life is certainly much different than it was a few months ago, including our use of technology.  As October’s  National Cyber Security Awareness Month ,  approaches, this is a good time to step back and think about ways we can use all the technology around us safely and smartly.  Since we are all home bound, working with our families on this new way of living seems like the best place to begin our new virtual lives.

To help you get on the right path, I revised my Family Media Plan to help you and your family create some goals you can focus on together and when each of you use the technology alone each day. Feel free to modify the goals for the needs of your own family. Work together as a family to talk about how all the screen time is going for everyone and talk about ways you can hit the off switch and find some activities without screens.

As October approaches and National Cyber Security Awareness Month approaches I’ll post more tips to help you on your new plugged in life. For now, we all have to dip our toe in this new digital ocean we find ourselves in. Until then, here’s the link to the revised Family Media Goals:
